Welcome to our blog about life with six alpaca "fiber boys" in the Colorado foothills! We post once a week, usually on the weekend, when life slows down to sweet, slow dance. ~ Gib & Lisa

A Repeat Customer!

I am so excited!  "The boys" have their first repeat customer (other than my friends and family)!

A sweet Loveland lady bought a skein of "Chocolate and Jake Twist" (the luscious brown/black yarn on the left in this photo) at the McKee Craft Show in November to knit a scarf.

She called this week and said she really likes the look of the scarf, and wants to make sure she has enough to finish it (and maybe make some gloves ~ won't THOSE feel good?). I've asked her to take a photo of the knitted scarf when it's finished, and I'll post it.

It is SO exciting to see "the boys" earning their hay, AND helping us to make a donation to people in need (a portion of all sales goes to help others ~ right now, we're saving up to give hardware-store gift cards to the two families who lost their homes in the Reservoir Road fire).
