Catch-Up Time!

What a wonderful month February was ~ celebrating three birthdays (husband Gib, son Brandon, and brand-new baby Heidi), buying a new-to-me loom, hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park with visiting son Chase, holding parent-teacher conferences at school, attending an all-day color workshop with Deb Menz, visiting at the Fiber Fest at The Ranch, and more ~ I didn't even have time to post! Now it's time to catch up...

On February 26, I had the honor of going to the home of Liz Gipson, author of this book...

...to pick up this rigid-heddle loom she was selling (which she used to make several of the projects in her book):

Liz took me on a tour to meet her soft, adorable backyard goats Bella, Diva, Faith and Zeus (learn more about them on her blog, The Cashmere Kid):

Liz also let me peek into her studio, which overlooks the goat pens, and she graciously signed her book for me:

I love the sentiment: "Weaving, like friendships, lasts a lifetime." Thank you, Liz!
